XIRI WET DESULFURZATION

TECHNOLOGY INTRODUCTION
Limestone/gypsum desulphurization process is a kind of desulphurization process, which uses limestone, or dolomite as the desulphurization absorbent to remove SO2 from the exhaust gas, among which limestone is the most widely used and one of the earliest absorbents for flue gas desulphurization. It is the most widely used standard desulfurization technology with the most mature technology in the word.
It uses cheap and easy to obtain limestone or lime as desulfurization absorbent, limestone is crushed and ground into powder, mixed with water and stirred into absorption slurry. When lime is used as absorbent, lime powder is digested and then added with water to make an absorbent slurry. In the absorption tower, the absorption slurry is mixed with the flue gas inContact, the sulfur dioxide in the flue gas is removed by chemical reaction with the calcium carbonate in the slurry and the injected oxidized air, and the final reaction product is gypsum. After desulfurization, the flue gas is removed by the defoamer, and then heated by the heat exchanger and sent back to the chimney. The desulphurized gypsum slurry is recovered after dehydration by the dehydration device. Due to the recycling of absorption slurry, the utilization rate of desulfurization absorber is very high. Limestone materials are widely available, raw materials are readily available, and prices are low, so the lime/gypsum method is by far the least expensive of the desulphurization methods.

XIRI WET DESULFURZATION WORKING PRINCIPLE The slurry made of limestone powder and water was pumped into the absorption tower as absorbent and mixed with the sulfur-dioxide of the flue gas. the calcium carbonate in the slurry and the air pumped in from the lower part of the tower was oxidized to produce the calcium sulfate, which reached a certain saturation and crystallized to form dihydrate gypsum. The gypsum slurry discharged by the absorption tower is concentrated and dehydrated so that its water content is less than 10%. Then the slurry is sent to the gypsum storage warehouse by the conveyor. The flue gas after desulfurization is removed by the mist eliminator. Because the absorber slurry in the absorber tower circulates repeatedly with the flue gas through the circulating pump, the absorbent utilization rate is very high, the calcium sulfur is relatively low, the desulfurization efficiency can be than 99%.
